The Cannes Film Festival always brings together great cinema and fashion. Sonam Kapoor, this past weekend, reached the French Rivera to kick-start her time at the festival. And like always, the actress knows how to bring the best kind of fashion to the red carpet.

It is a no brainer that Sonam K Ahuja is a bonafide fashionista. Known for her regal and sometimes edgy sartorial choices, she has been defying stereotypes and setting new norms at the Cannes red carpet since 2011 when she made her first ever appearance.  

She made her first appearance at the 72^nd Festival de Cannes yesterday, looking ravishing in a voluminous red gown. The Valentino gown made her look like a dream. 

The loose silhouette, the billowing sleeves, and the multi-tiered skirt rendered her a royal look. She teamed it up with a pair of red heels. She tied her hair in a ruffled braid adorned with flowers that added a lot of vintage drama to her look. 

Starting with the press tour, Sonam Kapoor kept it elegant yet edgy with her purple gown by Elie Saab. The stunning couture had a huge bow on side of her neck. She opted for minimal makeup and let her outfit do the talking. Shiny shimmery eyes, side-parted tied hair and nude lips rounded her look.

Then, came the look that stunned us. Sonam Kapoor attended the Chopard party in a stunning custom made saree. The actress channelized her inner maharani vibes to rock that stunning gold and ivory saree inspired gown by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. 

The long trail, choker neckpiece and kept her jewelry minimum with just ring on her ring finger to complete her look. She elevated her look with a sleek, center-parted hair, shimmery smokey eye makeup, and nude lips. All the looks were styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor.

Aishwarya Rai picks a sheen single-sleeve mermaid gown for the Cannes red carpet this year. Walks hand-in-hand with daughter Aaradhya. Dressed up in a Jean-Louis Sabaji metallic gold gown with a long trail. After seeing a lot of debuts from the industry, it is time to welcome a veteran! And finally, the French Riviera welcomed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her little munchkin Aaradhya.

Now before she finally takes over the red carpet at the Cannes, we have an exciting update for you. Social media handles are flooding with some pictures of the mother-daughter duo as they leave for the red carpet.

Have a look here: Aishwarya who usually takes the bold, dramatic way coming to Cannes, took another risk this year by picking a mermaid sheen gown by Jean-Louis Sabaji. With a long train at the back, this one is a single-sleeve gown.

Aishwarya's hair has been done in straight and sleek fashion at the back. For accessories, she wore two statement rings. We loved her golden glittered ear and golden nails.

Talking about her makeup, it was a bronzed look with lots of gloss on her lips, shimmer on the eyes and softly blushed cheeks.

Little Aaradhya, on the other hand, can be seen in an asymmetrical yellow dress with a big flower on one side.

She looked great in a golden gown.

The Bollywood actress who has now turned into a globals superstar surely knows how to turn some heads. For her debut at the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas looked fiery in a bold black and red embellished ensemble, a custom creation by Roberto Cavalli. 

Wavy hair, Chopard jewelry and pair of Christian Louboutin pump rounded out the actor’s look.

Wearing a Fendi dress from the Fall 2018 couture collection, Priyanka attended the Chopard Love Dinner on Friday evening at Cannes. Besides the color, there really wasn’t much to like here. The pumps felt too heavy and the piping along the middle and under the bust made the already busy dress busier.

Priyanka Chopra chose to create a subtle impact with a white jumpsuit by Honda. The white outfit featured pleated details on the pant. As an addition to that, the jumpsuit was styled with a similarly pleated one-shoulder cape that was strapped around her neck.

She pulled her hair back in a sleek pinned hairstyle and accessorized her ears with simple diamond drops. She completed her look with a white mini bag and diamond rings. We absolutely love how elegant and chic her entire ensemble was.

Priyanka looked gorgeous beyond belief with a Britishness tint in a satin maxi dress with a broad white belt which was cinched at the waist. A cowboy hat, poker-straight hair and mauve lip completed this classy look to perfection. 

On the other hand, Nick complimented his wife in a crisp beige suit which was teamed up with a striped co-ordinating shirt and white sneakers. Black-tinted sunglasses added a funkiness to the semi-formal attire.

The Indian glamour domination at the Cannes Film Festival has begun and yesterday we saw three ladies from Bollywood gracing the red carpet at the festival. What caught the most number of eyeballs was Deepika Padukone’s black and white gown with a long attached trail.

Deepika took to her social media handle to share how she prepped and what went into looking like the diva that she looked last evening at the Festival De Cannes.

Deepika Padukone started her Cannes 2019 journey on a dramatic note and she played with contrasts. This time, she exuded feisty vibes with subdued hues and her theatrical gown was created by Peter Dundas.

Her look was not minimal really but she didn't go overboard with jewelry. Her diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings were sparkly and gave her a complete look. She paired her gorgeous ensemble with strappy black Aquazurra heels, which contrasted her attire.

The makeup was where she had an absolute edge. Can we say she spruced up her look with inverted winged eyeliner? 

Yes, Deepika applied winged eyeliner below her eyes and on the contrary, kept the upper portion nude-toned. The pink lip shade balanced her makeup.
