Alia Bhatt in Blue Saree
This time around wedding season in India seems to be lasting all year round—this year the ethnic wear, wedding season fashion is going to be all about '
minimal styling, maximum effects'. Past few days we’ve been seeing Alia Bhatt have the time of her life at her childhood bestie, Devika Advani‘s wedding. we also got to see all the stellar outfits she wore through the mehendi, sangeet and pheras. Each of Alia Bhatt’s looks was styled by Ami Patel, her hair was done by Amit Thakur and makeup by Aparnah Mitter.
The Wedding
Alia went the unconventional route for the wedding ceremony and saved the best for last! She wore this ink blue Manish Malhotra creation which the designer calls a sharara-saree—which is essentially a sharara with your dupatta draped like a saree pallu.
Tag a friend on whose wedding you will Cry like crazy! Alia gets emotional at her bestie's wedding.
The Mehendi
She wore a dreamy mix-and-matched lehenga from Anita Dongre and paired it with a potli bag from The Pink Potli. Since the mehendi was an outdoor day-time affair, the colors chosen for this look couldn’t have been more perfect.
The Sangeet
I’ve been in love with this Anushree Reddy design ever since I saw it on the Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 runway—and Alia does total justice to it! Plus that ruffled blouse is total makes the need for a dupatta non-existent, don’t you think?

Playing a summer bridesmaid to the hilt, Alia Bhatt is seen dressed in a shimmery seafoam blue and lemon yellow lehenga set from Anita Dongre, that wouldn’t be out of place at a beach wedding either.
She accessorized this look with chandbalis from Amrapali Jewels and a silver potli bag by The Pink Potli.
Her makeup artist Aparnah Mitter retained Bhatt’s trademark natural look for the wedding, whereas her hairstylist Amit Thakur chose a blow-dry tousled with soft romantic curls at the ends for Bhatt.
In another picture, she is joined in by the other bridesmaids, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, and Anushka Ranjan, all huddling with the bride-to-be and her mother Anu to strike a pose for a group picture.
One of the highlights from the wedding festivities was when Bhatt took the stage with the bride-to-be and the other bridesmaids for a performance. Alia Bhatt Grooving to Tony Kakkar's Coca Cola Song At Her Best Friend's Wedding.

Mouni Roy in Punit Balana's Printed Saree With Jacket Blouse
Wearing a Punit Balana sari, Mouni Roy attended the Dadasaheb Phalke awards held last evening. Pink lip color and jewelry from Amrapali rounded out the actor’s look. Gold actress Mouni Roy looked gorgeous as ever in this white colored printed saree. The Bengali beauty left her hair open and kept her make-up minimal.
Mouni Roy looked rather overwhelmed with that print-on-print look and wish the actor had teamed the sari with either a plain colored conventional blouse or picked a non-jacket/peplum silhouette (that way there would be one less competing element). As is, this was a bit of a miss.
You know that printed saree is in trend these days. Whether you’re in search of a fun print, something floral, or a number that’s completely out of the box, there are many options for you to pick from.
