You know there is a reason why Sonam Kapoor so graciously enjoys the title of the Ultimate Bollywood Fashionista; it’s because the diva knows how to take just about any trend to a whole new level. Recently the actress wore a checked dress for her recent photo shoot and it feels almost criminal to use mundane terms like ‘dress’ and ‘checks’ for this particular creation. Sonam was styled by Rhea Kapoor and assisted by Vani Malhotra for the shoot who picked out a beautiful red, blue and black checked midi from Delpozo‘s Pre-Fall 2017 

This Designer collection was featured long sleeves, a closed collar and bold patches, floral embellishments running down from the neck to the bust.

Sonam teamed her outfit up with a pair of black strappy heels and accessorized her garment with a few gold baubles from Black Baloon including their gemmed Hammered Shield earrings and a couple of rings.

Sonam’s hair was pulled up in a neat do by hair stylist Hiral Bhatia, except for one thick flock of hair that was left loose and spread out to cover her face partially. Makeup artist Mitaki Vakil rounded off Sonam’s look with string eyebrows, softly done smoky eyes and a bold red lip.

Ever since last season, we’ve been witnessing various versions of the check trend, some good and some great; but none matching the style potential of that of Sonam‘s outfit. These pics of Sonam is only further proof of what we’ve known all along…Sonam Kapoor can do no wrong when it comes to fashion!
