Jio Filmfare Awards 2017

You know what we love the most about awards season? The insane red carpet looks that it brings along. And Sonam Kapoor is making sure that this season outdoes all others! The actress, who’s part of the controversial Filmfare. Style icon Sonam Kapoor ruled the red carpet in an elegant Elie Saab gown at the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards in Mumbai.

The actress decided to go bolder than usual with her red carpet style and she definitely hit the right cords with the fashion pundits. Here, quick details of Sonam’s Filmfare look.

Sonam was styled by her sister and part-time stylist, Rhea Kapoor who picked out an off-white sheer, bird-embellished Elie Saab gown with an asymmetrical hem. While the bodice was lined with a solid fabric, the skirt of the gown flaunted Sonam’s well-toned legs right up to her thighs.

With her outfit, Sonam stepped into a pair of nude high-top, peep toes and lugged on a light gold clutch that she held in beautifully manicured hands. Her accessories comprised of a pair of earrings by Aurelle and a bold statement ring from the same label.

Sonam’s hair was pulled back in a neat updo except for a few escaped tresses at either side. Her look was perfectly rounded off with dramatic eyes and bold maroon lips.

Winning the best actress award for Neerja, was a truly special moment.. but it was made more special because @aanandlrai gave it to me.. love you sir. Thank you @Filmfare I'll forever cherish this moment.
