Recently Deepika Padukone looks like Cinderella in Zac Posen pink gown at the Met Gala 2019. Yes, we may have borrowed that line from a Beyonce song, but we can’t help but think that it is pretty apt for her appearance. She picked a pink confection from Zac Posen that had an exaggerated train with hair raising (pun intended) hairdo done by her trusty hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou. A diamante headband and statement drop earrings rounded up her look.

On the beauty front, Sandhya Sekhar swiped on a deep merlot shade that served as a wonderful contrast against the saccharine sweet pink shade that she wore. The eyes were played up with an exaggerated purple winged eyeliner.

The theme of the MET's 2019 Costume Exhibition is "Camp: Notes on Fashion". The theme comes with its exaggerated plethora of costumes that are put on an exhibition by the global stars who attend the gala.

The exhibit is inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay that defines camp as "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration."

Appreciation is pouring in from all corners for Deepika's look and this surely, makes her the leading icon of not just Bollywood but in the eyes of the whole wide world.
