Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan on Sunday said educating girls should be the first step towards empowering women. Kareena was speaking at an event here organized by Unicef India to discuss the importance of celebrating mothers and their newborns.

She looked beautiful in an ivory double layer Anarkali with gold embroidered neck by Punit Balana. 

Hair tied up in a ponytail, a pair of dangling earrings and clean makeup rounded her lookout.

The actress who will soon be seen in "Veere Di Wedding" also emphasized on the role of the father in parenthood.
